The WaveShifter WDM modules conserve fiber by using 1310/1550 nm wavelength division multiplexing to combine two optical signals onto one fiber.
WaveShifter WDM modules are normally paired with WaveShifter 300 modules to provide a plug-and-play, 2-to-1 solution for 1310 nm transmission systems. The modules can also be used when both 1510 and 1310 nm wavelength signals are provided.
WaveShifter WDM modules are purely passive optical devices, making them an ideal solution for remote cabinets or customer premises where power and alarm connections are not available.
The modules are completely independent of data rate and format and can be used in both unidirectional and bidirectional configurations.
