Heater Panels for Displays
In many applications, conventional CRT displays have been replaced by liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. LCD panels offer many advantages, including reduced size, lower weight, greater reliability, and lower power consumption. Yet, LCD panels have one significant disadvantage for use in harsh environments - they are temperature sensitive. Heater panels must be applied to LCDs that may operate in cold environments such as avionics instruments, ruggedized displays, or monitoring systems for outdoor industrial applications.
Heater panels must be designed to match the available power supply voltage and should provide uniform sheet resistance across the panel for optimal performance. JDSU offers high performance heater panels in a variety of configurations.
