Charms™ printable microstructured taggants is a revolutionary covert brand protection and document authentication solution that can be used in both SecureShift® ink and stand-alone in varnish to protect against product counterfeiting and diversion.

Charms microflakes are invisible to the naked eye but can be quickly identified and verified using a portable, low-cost 200–400X microscope to identify graphics, size, shape, color, and texture. This means that product authentication can be done within seconds in the field with a simple, visual confirmation that requires only minimal training.
